Did you play with gulaal and colours yesterday? How were your Holi celebrations? For me, the festival of colours is surely incomplete without playing with loads of colours, drenching in water, spending the occasion with family and friends, and of course relishing Holi-special food items. From Gujiyas to Thandai, everything needs to be on the food spread. Most of us usually order delicacies on online delivery platforms without making them ourselves. This Holi, a man surprised everyone by ordering gujiyas costing almost ₹29,000.

Swiggy Customer Ordered Gujiyas By Spending More Than ₹28K

Taking to X, Rohit Kapoor (@rohitisb) shared about the massive order recorded during the Holi celebrations.

Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Food Marketplace, Swiggy, shared an interesting insight from yesterday’s orders. Holi is celebrated with pomp and glory in most parts of India. These days, most people prefer to order food from outside during festivals and events. Holi 2024 was similar as well and witnessed a significant spike in customers ordering food and things related to the festival on quick e-commerce platforms.

The bigger the event, the higher the overall bill amount. Rohit Kapoor made an X post about a customer who clearly surprised everyone with the total amount mentioned on the bill. The user from Lucknow took to the Swiggy platform to place an order for gujiyas. He ordered loads of this Holi-special deep-fried dessert for a whopping amount of ₹28,830.

The extravagant order was surely for a grand Holi party. Celebrations of the festival of colours look quite incomplete without relishing scrumptious gujiyas. Rohit wrote on X, “A user from Lucknow went all out by spending a whopping ₹28,830 on gujiyas from Swiggy for their Holi celebrations” Calling it an epic Holi party, he shared how he wished to be a part of the celebrations.

Swiggy Recorded Huge Orders Since Friday

Ahead of Holi, Rohit Kapoor tweeted about the massive rush of orders on the food delivery platform. Swiggy reported great orders for gujiya and thandai from Friday. He also added how there is a wide range of 192 gujiya and 242 thandai varieties across India. So many options surely mean a grand feast of Holi-special delicacies.
