This horrific incident took place in a restaurant in Madrid in Spain. According to reports, the name of the restaurant where the incident took place is Burro Canaglia Bar and Resto. It is an Italian restaurant located at de Manuel Becerra. The fire that broke out seemed severe as many people were injured and admitted to the hospital. According to authorities, it is likely that the fire was started due to a flambéed pizza.
Madrid Restaurant Catches Fire
Recently, a restaurant in Madrid, Spain, was set ablaze. The fire ended up claiming two lives and severely injuring about 12 diners. According to an article by the India Today website, the cause of the fire might be a flambéed pizza.
Even though nothing can be said about the cause of the fire for certain, eyewitnesses state that the cause might be this pizza. Based on what José Luis Martnez-Almeida, the city’s Mayor, said, it seems that the flames from the flambé caught the plastic flower decorations.
These flower decorations, which were on the roof, caught on fire which then quickly started spreading. It also seems that the fire started near the entrance of the restaurant which is why it was difficult for the imperilled diners to leave the restaurant. According to the authorities, the restaurant wasn’t too far away from the fire station, however, the flames at the entrance made it difficult for diners to leave and alert the fire officials for help.

Two Killed And 12 Injured
There were about 30 people in the restaurant when the fire started. The fire ended up claiming the lives of two people. One of these people was an employee of the restaurant. In addition to this, 12 people were injured in this accident.
Five of the 12 people were severely hurt and one person was critically injured. The restaurant, it seems, is now permanently closed. People are lamenting the tragedy and are mourning the damage the fire has caused as this has been a terrible tragedy.
