Many people are visiting the place to see the spot linked to the incident. The location has unofficially started being referred to as “Siya Point.” The name comes from Siya Goyal, who has been accused along with her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary. Many visitors are asking security staff and fellow travellers about the exact place where the incident took place.

Maharashtra’s Most Visited Heritage Sites 

Lohagad Fort has been one of the most-visited heritage sites and a favourite among history and trekking lovers. Every year, lakhs of tourists visit this place. On weekends and public holidays, the fort usually welcomes around 4,000 to 5,000 visitors each day. However, as per News18, local residents say that similar crowds are now arriving even on regular weekdays.

The name “Lohagad” means “Iron Fort.” The origins of this place date back nearly 2,000 years to the Satavahana period. The fort is located around 11 kilometres from Lonavala and about 60 kilometres from Pune. Visitors can easily reach it through Malavli railway station.
