US Man Finds Nose Pin In His Taco Bell Dish; Posts Pics On Reddit

Taking to Reddit, 33-year-old Jeremy, a resident of Virginia, the USA stated to Newsweek that he found a nose ring in his Taco Bell order. The man ordered two steak-cheesy street chalupas from the fast food chain on July 24. When there were just a few bites left of his meal, he felt something sharp stuck at the back of his throat as he swallowed the food.

While he succeeded in removing the object from his throat, he tried biting into it again. But the sharp object now stuck to his teeth. He spat it out and realised he was chewing on someone’s nose pin. He stated to Newsweek that the nose pin was slightly bent after he bit it. And it got pushed to the front of his mouth when he finally spat it out. Jeremy said that the nose pin took a small bit of his filling with it, and that’s when he felt a small but sharp pain in his mouth.

When he realised what the object really was, he looked dumbfounded at his wife. He was in pure shock. The man told the news agency that he felt sick for two days. As the nose pin pierced his throat and his teeth, he suffered from a sore throat. In order to create awareness about this alarming matter, he posted about it on Reddit. The man shared pictures of his half-eaten Taco Bell order with a gleaming silver nose pin in it.

He Claims The Brand Didn’t Take Responsibility

His post garnered 45K upvotes and 4200 comments. Jeremy instantly called the Taco Bell outlet to complain about this matter. Netizens expressed their shock on seeing a metal nose pin in the man’s Taco Bell order and they took to the comments section to express it.

However, he the manager refused to take responsibility for the same. But promised to contact him. Jeremy wished the manager showed more integrity as he felt it was clearly an employee’s mistake. In Jeremy’s opinion, it was less likely that it could be the fault of a person in the distribution centre.

The man made it clear that even if Taco Bell reached out with gift cards, coupons or free meals, he was unwilling to eat there again. The lack of accountability on the part of the fast food chain disappointed him. As per a report by Newsweek, Taco Bell responded that it was looking into the matter seriously.
