We have been surrounded by many suicide news across India. The Bandra-Worli sea link is known to be one of the most beautiful constructions in Mumbai. People admire this place and generally visit here while going on long drives. But according to a recent news, Apparently upset by a previous mishap, a 55-year-old man jumped off the Bandra-Worli Sea Link on Monday. The Mumbai police called in Navy divers to help them find him, according to an official.

In the morning, a 55-year-old man jumped off Mumbai’s famous cable-stayed bridge into the Arabian Sea. The old man survived a car accident a few days ago, in which he suffered severe brain damage, as per an official. 

The official claimed that the individual had informed his relatives that he intended to commit suicide. The Mumbai police quickly initiated a search operation to find the man after learning about the incident. 

A senior police official mentioned that the man stopped his car on the sea link and jumped off into the sea. The incident took place between 6 – 6:30 in the morning on Monday.

Found Family Through Car’s Registration Number

According to the official, a Navy helicopter has also been put into action. A diving squad from the Indian Navy is aiding in the hunt. He claimed that a Chetak helicopter also launched two flights in an effort to find and save the victim.

Personnel from the Mumbai Fire Brigade and the Coast Guard also arrived at the scene and started a search effort. According to authorities, the man has not yet been located. Divers and a helicopter were also actively involved in the hunt for the man.

Mumbai police acquired the vehicle and got in touch with the family using the vehicle’s registration number. They are asking them for information about him.  The officer stated this without revealing the man’s identity.
