1. Travellers In Qatar Are Getting More Digital Perks
People travelling to and from Qatar may soon find things a little easier. Qatar Insurance Company has added new travel-related services to its mobile app, allowing users to convert loyalty points into Qatar Airways Avios. Those rewards can then be used for flights, upgrades and shopping benefits. The app also allows customers to use points towards travel insurance costs. Some new services, including hotel booking options and travel-related tools, have also been introduced.
2. Dubai Airports Wins Accolades For Passenger Experience

Dubai Airports has been recognised internationally for its work on digital safety systems and its initiatives to enhance traveller accessibility. “This recognition reflects the ongoing investment in technology that not only enhances airport operations but also eases travel for passengers with diverse accessibility needs.
3. A UAE Entrepreneur Is Turning Local Ingredients Into A Business
A homegrown snack brand is drawing attention for taking a different approach to food production. Founded by an Emirati entrepreneur, the company is building products around ingredients such as dates and camel milk while also drawing on food security research.

4. Jordan Starts Work On Its Biggest-Ever Stadium
Jordan has begun preliminary work on what is expected to become the country’s largest stadium.
The Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II International Stadium is planned to accommodate around 46,000 spectators and forms part of the wider Amra City development project. Construction is expected to begin in 2027, with completion targeted before the end of 2029. There will also be transport links, thousands of parking spaces and training facilities at the development.
5. Oman Continues To Deal With Intense Summer Heat
Oman, meanwhile, remains under pressure from soaring summer temperatures. Weather authorities have previously warned that some areas could approach the 50°C mark during peak periods, with residents encouraged to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. Recent readings across several parts of the country have already crossed the high-40s.
