Big names at Atlantis Dubai have quietly hit the brakes. There are at least 7 restaurants in Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal in Dubai seem to be closed for now, while the resort looks at how things are going based on the number of people who come.
7 Restaurants At Atlantis, Dubai, Pause Temporary Operations
Hakkasan, Ossiano, and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal are all on the list. Ling Ling, Brasserie Frantzen, and La Mar by Gastón Acurio are also affected. Cloud 22, the beach club at Atlantis The Royal are suspected to be halted their operations temporarily.
Why Are These Places Closing?
There are certain times of year when Dubai’s hospitality business is busy. It’s quieter in the summer. Fewer tourists, less foot traffic, and a chance to think things over.
According to the National, Gulf News and more, during this time, Atlantis is changing menus, improving spaces, and coming up with new ideas. Expect work behind the scenes, like renovations, new dining ideas, and operational changes that aren’t visible yet but will be important later.
According to the National, this break is about improving the overall guest experience, not cutting back for good. Some places, like Cloud 22, are already getting upgrades and will come back with new ideas.

Don’t cancel your plans yet; not everything is closed. A lot of popular places are still open and running.
At Atlantis The Royal, guests can still eat at Carbone Dubai, Estiatorio Milos, Nobu by the Beach, and Gastronomy.
In the meantime, Atlantis The Palm is still serving guests at Wavehouse, Nobu Dubai, FZN by Bjorn Frantzen, and Bread Street Kitchen & Bar. So yes, options are still good. Not as many as usual.
A Bigger Trend in Dubai Hotels
This isn’t just a story about Atlantis. Several big hotels in Dubai are also getting upgrades or closing down for a short time.
Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, Armani Hotel Dubai, Park Hyatt Dubai, and Radisson Blu Dubai Media City are all in different stages of renovations or changes to how they work.
Some of the closures this year are also due to larger regional issues, which have affected travel demand and the hospitality industry.

What’s Next?
There are no confirmed dates for reopening at this time. But the pattern is well-known. Dubai venues close quietly, make quick improvements, and come back sharper before the winter rush starts.
Check ahead if you want to visit. Give it some time if your favourite place is closed. It will probably come back with a new look, a shorter menu, and a better experience.
