Ahmedabad is no longer the city where people ask, “What’s there to enjoy in this city?” The city is growing and developing new attractions for people to explore. One upcoming project we are particularly excited about is the Ahmedabad City Square, planned by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). Scroll down for all the details!
What Is The Ahmedabad City Square Project?
AMC is planning to develop Ahmedabad City Square at a cost of around ₹570 crore. According to Dainik Bhaskar, the project will take inspiration from Dubai‘s Jumeirah Skyline in its design. As an Amdavadi, I am looking forward to this project because it will feature a 175-metre-high tower with cafés, restaurants, a sky deck and a viewing gallery where visitors can enjoy views of Ahmedabad. At this gallery, around 75 people can stand at a time.
The Ahmedabad City Square will have two levels above the ground. The lower level will have shops and an art gallery. The upper level will be more about fun and relaxation, with an open plaza, food kiosks at all four corners, a garden, a food court and a water fountain. It will also have an amphitheatre where 310 people can enjoy entertainment.
The tower will also feature a giant digital screen displaying advertisements from 40 to 175 metres above the ground. As for the restaurant, it will be two-storey, at a height of around 40 metres. It can easily accommodate 1,200 people. Above it, there will be a circular terrace café for around 200 people. The café will span an area of approximately 6,485 square metres.

What Are The Plans For Parking Facilities?
Don’t worry about parking your vehicle, as that will also be taken care of. The three basement levels, built approximately 15 metres below ground level, can accommodate 1,500 vehicles. And that’s not all! AMC will also create extra parking space for 450 vehicles on its plot opposite the project site.
AMC issued the tender for Ahmedabad City Square on October 25, 2026. Interested contractors will attend an orientation meeting to understand the project in detail. AMC will also hold two pre-bid meetings before finalising the tender and selecting a contractor. Once selected, the project must be completed within 42 months.
