Urban Chowk In Ahmedabad Catches Fire
On Thursday evening, around 8:17 PM, a fire broke out at the famous Urban Chowk in Ahmedabad. The food market is on Rajpath Rangoli Club Road. The first stall to catch fire was a chaat stall. The fire slowly spread to a nearby momo stall and other stalls. As per a Gujarat Samachar report, three stalls caught fire.
As soon as the authorities noticed the fire, they quickly called the Ahmedabad Fire Brigade. Four fire vehicles reached the spot to put out the fire. Three of them came from the Bopal fire station. Divisional Fire Officer Swastik Jadeja also came to the location to oversee the firefighting work. Firefighters and other authorities worked to manage the situation and make sure no one was hurt. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Sudden Fire Leaves Visitors Panicked
The sudden fire at Urban Chowk left visitors panicking and looking for a way out. The crowd was huge, as this place has over 50 stalls and attracts many visitors, especially in the evening. And since it was Karwa Chauth, many families and couples had visited the place. To evacuate people safely, emergency responders started guiding them towards the exits.
We still don’t know the exact reason behind the fire. Officials are investigating what caused it. They are checking if it started due to an electrical short circuit, cooking equipment or other issue. Meanwhile, the financial loss faced by the affected stall owners is yet to be calculated. Authorities will also check how much damage the fire caused to the stalls and the items inside them.
