Saudi Arabia Expands Tourist Programme Visa Eligibility To Four Countries
As announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 5th, Saudi Arabia has expanded eligibility for its tourist programme to include four more countries. Yes, citizens of Mexico, North Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Serbia are now included. Basically, citizens of these countries will be able to apply for a tourist visa if they wish to visit Saudi Arabia. However, these are subject to applicable eligibility criteria and regulations as revealed in a report in Gulf News.
What Can A Tourist Visa Be Used For?
The next question that arises is what can visitors do with a tourist visa? Well, a tourist visa allows visitors to attend events & entertainment activities, perform Umrah, visit relatives and friends, and participate in exhibitions & conferences. Visa options can be accessed for the four countries for the following categories:
- Visa on arrival
- E-Visa
- Transit or Stopover Visa

Each Category Of Visa Is Subject To Its Own Conditions
Basically, each visa category is subject to its own conditions and eligibility requirements. As revealed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all visits are subject to the Kingdom’s applicable regulations and instructions. The expansion is a part of its effort to broaden access for international visitors. Not to mention, it would also allow them to travel to the Kingdom for tourism, religious visits, and business-related activities.
