As revealed in a report by Khaleej Time, the residential real estate sector in the UAE is set for a massive growth. Yes, this is bound to be fuelled by increased demand and strategic government initiatives. In fact, 10,800 new units are expected to be delivered in this year. Additionally, 6,000 more will be delivered in 2026. So, by 2028, the residential inventory will include a total of 3,13,700.

This is hardly surprising as the residential sector is seeing a steady growth. It has been boosted by an increase in demand from the local and international people as well. Moreover, strategic government initiatives also contribute towards the rise in the demand for housing units. In fact, this is hardly surprising, as in 2024, 9,700 sales transactions worth a total of AED26 billion were recorded. In fact, 5,200 new homes were delivered in 2024. These were located in the areas of Al Raha Berach, Yas Island, Masdar City and Saadiyat Island.

Yes, talking about the figures, Aldar Properties took the lead in the market with the launch of 4,000 units. These were scattered across 12 projects. Not to mention, 2,000 new units came up in the Al Reemm Island, 1,800 units came up in Saadiyat Island, and 1,700 of them came up in Al Bahyah.
