DXB To Witness Busiest Day On 11 December

More than 200,000 passengers will be arriving into Dubai on Emirates flight this winter. Keeping the rush in mind, Emirates has rolled out some pointers for travellers. All passengers must arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure. In addition, travellers must check the latest travel requirements to their booked destinations. Travellers arriving at the airport less than 60 minutes prior to their flight’s departure will not be allowed to travel.

Travellers can check in online from 48 hours to 90 minutes before a flight. However, you must still visit the check-in counter at the airport to collect boarding passes and have your travel documents verified.

Passengers Can Use Self Check-In And Bag Drop Kiosks

Passengers can also opt to use self check-in and bag drop kiosks installed at the airport. Over 32 new self-service bag drop machines and 16 self-service kiosks are installed for the convenience of travellers. However, passengers flying to the US, Canada, China, India or Hong Kong cannot use self check-in as these destinations require further checking processes. Emirates has also reopened smart gates that were initially closed during the pandemic.

In addition, the Emirates smart tunnel is also functional. The contactless method helps passengers navigate through the airport without any human intervention. The new technique uses biometric and facial recognition tests at specific check-in desks, entry to the Emirates Lounge and boarding gates.
