Schools, colleges and other educational institutions had come to a halt amid the covid-19 pandemic in the UAE. Distance learning, which was never a popular option, was instilled in every school to combat the covid-19. However, now, with other activities slowly resuming to normalcy, schools too will start allowing students back into the classrooms. As per the latest updates, Abu Dhabi private schools will now let pupils return in classrooms from January. The announcement of this move was made by the Abu Dhabi Media Office On Tuesday.

After Studying Remotely From March Students Will Now Go Back To School Next Year 

In terms of the new update, the decision was approved by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee and the Department of Education and Knowledge. According to this decision, students will finally be able to go back to schools. They have been studying remotely since March following the start of the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Department Will Work With Schools To Plan Everything Before Students Return To School 

In terms of safety guidelines, the department will work with schools to ensure that everything is in place by January. Each school will be required to follow strict guidelines which will be laid down by the authorities. Students at schools across the UAE have been returning under a staggered plan since August. And now, private school students in years seven to nine or from about the age of 11 to 14, will be returning to school in January 2021.

For the covid-19 tests and other updates, the department is yet to confirm whether the students returning in January will need to undergo Covid-19 tests or not.
