We have all thought of going on long bike trips, like not within the city to its outskirts, but travelling state after state. This is the story of a mom and son who went all the way from Kerala to Ladakh and even cooked meals on the way. So inspiring, right? If you want to do something this adventurous with your mom, read on because we have all the details.

The son, Gopakumar, wanted to travel with his mom, Sindhu, for quite some time. He wanted to travel to the Himalayas with his mom, who has been quite busy with her work. Sindhu has been working as a cook at a college in Kerala for the past 17 years.

Sindhu wasn’t excited about the trip, and Covid-19, too, played spoilsport. But this time, they finally had the time and went ahead with the long bike ride. And no, it was not only Gopakumar who rode the bike; Sindhu too equally took part in it.

While on the journey, they met many people and even fellow bikers who were on a bike trip. They even shared their food with those bikers they met on the way.

While in Khardungla, a Malayali soldier was kind enough to give the mother-son duo some time to freshen up. That’s how they managed to get a picture in the classic Kerala saree and him in a lungi.
