Most of us enjoy ordering food from eateries, cafes, and restaurants. No matter where we eat from, there is always a satisfying experience to order food from outside. Unfortunately, our excitement to enjoy good food vanishes within seconds if the food quality is not as expected. Food poisoning is a common consequence of consuming poor-quality dishes. Recently, a young boy lost his life after eating chicken shawarma at a local shop in Mankhurd, Maharashtra.

Identified as Prathamesh Bhokse, the 19-year-old boy passed away on Tuesday after eating chicken shawarma from an eatery, Trombay police officials stated. He and some of his friends went to the shop to have the chicken dish on May 3. It was during the evening when they visited the shawarma shop. Anand Kamble and Mohammad Ahmed Reza Shaikh run the shop in the Maharashtra Nagar area, according to a report by The Financial Express. At least 5 people have been rushed to the KEM Hospital and hospitalised. They fell sick due to food poisoning.

Things were fine that night but Prathamesh fell terribly sick the next day. On May 4, he faced symptoms of stomach ache and vomiting. He continued puking till evening and then was taken to a hospital for a doctor consultation. Hemrajsingh Rajput, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, stated that the teen was feeling better than before after being treated by the doctor. Sadly, things went wrong once again.

Bhokse was unable to eat any food after that. Soon he started to vomit again and was suffering from diarrhoea. He was taken to Parel’s KEM Hospital after facing these symptoms. The doctor prescribed him some medicines and he returned home. But this was not enough for the young boy to feel well. Again, he was rushed to the KEM hospital and was hospitalised. It was around 10:30 AM on Tuesday when the doctors announced the news of him passing away.
