Door-To-Door Vaccination To Begin In Mumbai From August 1; Bed-Ridden People To Get Priority

The government is trying to inoculate more and more people. In the third phase of the vaccination drive, the government has announced that it will vaccinate everyone above 18 years of age. The home vaccination initiative will be rolled out first in the K-east administrative ward covering the western suburbs of Andheri East, Marol, Chakala, and others and BMC. BMC will give priority to the bedridden in the vaccination campaign.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said the beneficiaries in the 18-44 age group will have to keep a few key things in mind before getting vaccinated. Here’s everything you need to know.

Vaccine Appointment Mandatory For Vaccination

First thing first, you will have to register in the CoWIN app and request an appointment. Only those who have registered in the CoWIN app and who have been allotted the vaccination centre and time slot would be given the jab. BMC’s Vaccination Checklist

Here is a list of key things shared by BMC.

1. Only people in the 18-44 age group who have booked a slot will be administered vaccine.
2. No walk-ins at centres will be allowed.
3. If you are 45 and above and due for the second dose, you will be updated about dates eventually.
4. Make sure to carry your original ID card at the vaccination centre.

List Of New Vaccination Centres In Mumbai

AMID the shortage of Covid-19 vaccines across the city, the BMC has managed to vaccinate more than 30,000 registered beneficiaries on Wednesday. However, the BMC has said that it is starting six more vaccination centres to vaccinate everyone between 18-44 age group. Matoshri Sports Club at Sundar Nagar HP (JVLR), BMC Community Hall (Jogeshwari), Aadhar Kendra (Vile Parle), Gadkari HP Videocon Atithi (Chembur), Yoga Kendra (Ayodhya Nagar), and Najambaug (Dongri) are the new centres in the list. Apollo Spectra in Deonar and Saifee Ambulance in Bhendi Bazar have also started vaccinating people.

The BMC said that it will get new stock of vaccines and they will add more vaccination centres for the 18-44 age group.
