In the latest update, hotels and clubs as well as permit rooms will now be allowed to stay open till 5 in the morning because of Christmas! Now this is how you make your Christmas merrier! Yes! Clubs, Hotels, Permit Rooms Allowed To Stay Open Till 5 AM
According to an article which was recently published by The Times Of India or TOI, permit rooms, hotels and clubs were granted permission to stay open till 5 in the morning for Christmas and New Year’s parties. Prior to this, they were only allowed to stay open till 1:30 AM.
As per a circular cited in the article, the changed timings are for 24, 25 and 31 December. The HRAWI or the Hotel and Restaurant Association Western India submitted a request to the Principal Secretary, Home Department, Director General of Police and Mumbai Police Commissioner for this.
The HRAWI is comprised of star hotels and premium restaurants. The request, representing the hospitality industry, assured that stringent safety measures and precautions will be taken by each and every member of the industry.
