With news circulating over the media channels on the testing of coronavirus vaccines, travel companies are thinking of coming up with vaccine tourism ideas. A Mumbai based travel firm has already released a teaser message on Whatsapp, claiming to offer a 4-days tour package to the US at ₹1.75 lakhs. A Vaccine Tourism From Mumbai To The US For 3 Nights, 4 Days
A travel firm in Mumbai is touting a tour package to the US, promising a COVID-19 vaccine. CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Funds Radhika Gupta has taken the microblogging site Twitter to share a Whatsapp message that reads, “Be among the first to get Corona Vaccine: As soon as Pfizer Vaccine is officially published to sell in America ( Tentative date 11th Dec), we are ready to get it done for select FEW VVIP Clients. Cost: ₹174999 including airfare: Mumbai New York Mumbai, stay for 3 nts/4 days with breakfast and one vaccine dose. ( TCS, GST, VISA, ground transportation extra), booking on first come first serve basis.” Also, Maharashtra has mandated COVID negative certificates for people coming from Delhi, Gujarat, Goa and Rajasthan.

Approval Awaited From The US Health Department
The travel company has informed through its message that it will proceed with its offer only after getting approval from the US heath department. According to a Times Now report, the message also reads, “We are not holding or procuring any vaccine. Everything we will arrange will be within laws of the US. We will only process your requirements. Right now, no time frame can be committed. We do not collect any advance or deposits now. We just need your registration with us with your name, email address, phone number, age, and one of your physical complications and passport copy. Rest everything will be done as per official permissions of the health department there. Unless they allow official sales to people other than Americans, we cannot give you the vaccine.”

Experts have already tested several vaccines for coronavirus. Pfizer-BioNtech and Moderna’s vaccines have claimed to be over 90 perfect effective against the virus.
