Preparations for the festival begin months in advance, and the city’s energy reaches another level as everyone waits to welcome Ganpati Bappa. The video shows a massive crowd coming together to welcome a grand and gorgeous idol of Lord Ganesha. Mumbaikars wait all year for this festival, and the excitement in the air is truly unmatched.

And guess who decided to join the celebration? Mumbai’s rain! Just like every year, the showers made an appearance, but nothing could stop people from welcoming Bappa with full energy. Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration In Mumbai

This year, Ganesh Chaturthi will begin on September 14, with the grand visarjan taking place on September 25, 2026. The 10-day festival turns Mumbai into a celebration of colours, music and devotion. During these days, people visit different pandals to seek Bappa’s blessings. The celebrations are so grand that devotees can even wait for hours, and sometimes much longer, just for a glimpse of their favourite Bappa. 

If you’re in Mumbai during Ganesh Chaturthi, you can also go pandal-hopping and visit some of the city’s most famous spots. From Lalbaugcha Raja, GSB Seva Mandal and Mumbaicha Raja to Chinchpoklicha Chintamani, Khetwadi Ganraj and Andhericha Raja will have to keep coming back.
