Mumbaikars! BEST Has A New Route From Dahisar Metro Station To Mira Road Starting Feb 13

Despite the addition of the new metro lines, travel has not been easier for Mumbai residents. In fact, there is a rising demand for a Mira Road to Dahisar Metro Station route. Thus the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has planned on introducing a new route from Dahisar Check Naka to Mira Road Railway Station on 13th February, Monday. Here is what the General Manager of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport has to say about this new route.

The new route from Dahisar Check Naka to Mira Road Railway Station is going to start on Monday. The route will be from Dahisar Check Naka to Kashimira-SliverPark, then J&K Bank Marg, with Mira Road railway station being the last stop. This service will be daily after every fifteen minutes.

BEST is taking in every suggestion given by commuters to provide an end-to-end and comfortable commute to the residents. They have introduced around five to six new routes that cover the metro lines. Though the footfalls are not high, they are expecting more ridership.

General Manager’s Take On This

According to the General Manager of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport, they are trying to make public transport more comfortable and commuter-friendly. They are committed to providing passengers who are using the Metro and taking taxis and autos to reach their final destination with last-mile connectivity. Though there are existing routes, BEST is trying to implement new ones and is hoping to see more footfalls.

For many, BEST is a more comfortable and cheaper option than any other ride. And, they are witnessing a steady rise in ridership all over Mumbai. They are even planning to add more buses till they reach a total of seventy thousand buses and forty lakh ridership.
