The world is changing, and so are we! Leaving the bigotry behind, almost everyone is looking forward to embracing the idea of more than two genders. Taking a step forward in this direction, a renowned LGBTQ+ activist and community organiser ,Nakshatra Bagwe will lead the inaugural Vasai-Virar Pride Festival in 2023. Here’s everything you need to know about the Pride Parade.

Vasai-Virar Pride Festival 2023

The Vasai-Virar Pride Festival 2023 is a single-day occasion that honours the diversity and endurance of the LGBTQ+ community. Many people and allies are anticipated to attend from all around Maharashtra. The Vasai-Virar Pride Festival 2023 is considered to be a landmark occasion for Maharashtra’s LGBTQ+ community and a major step towards the development of a more welcoming and inclusive society.

For increased visibility on the day of the Pride March, they have planned a route that would pass by churches, temples, and Vasai Road. The festival will be held on May 27, 2023, to improve the neighbourhood and foster acceptance and understanding of LGBTQ+ people.

About Nakshatra Bagwe, The Organiser Of This Event

Nakshatra Bagwe is well-known for his hard efforts on behalf of the rights and acceptance of queer people in Maharashtra. He is also known for doing some amazing work for the community throughout India. He has long been an outspoken supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and has been instrumental in the planning of numerous community events and campaigns.

Further, he stated that he realises the responsibility of this event which is very close to his heart. Further, he shows gratitude towards Shrey and Jay Kommana, without whom this event would not be possible. He was pleased with the positive response of the authorities and police, who granted them permission. This festival is a critical step in fostering a society that is inclusive of and welcoming of LGBTQ+ people. To make this festival a big success, he is looking forward to collaborating with the organisers and the local community.
