This Massive Drain In Delhi Will Be Converted Into An Eco-Tourism Park

In an eco-friendly move, a massive drain in Delhi will soon be converted into a stunning eco-tourism park. The Najafgarh drain, which flows for a length of around 57 kilometres through the heart of the capital city has an unkempt and polluted avatar now. The drain ends in the Yamuna river, carrying the sewage to the river as well. But this situation is going to change as the authorities are now planning to give a facelift to the Najafgarh drain by converting it into a park.

The Najafgarh Drain Will Be Converted Into A Water Body To Support Boat Rides And Water Sports

The upcoming eco-tourism park at the site of the Najafgarh drain will also help in boosting tourism in the region. The Najafgarh drain connects the Sahibi river to the Yamuna river. Earlier, a bird sanctuary was also proposed in the area. The eco-tourism project will involve cleaning up sewage in the drain to turn it into a water body and set up recreational activities like boat rides and water sports.
