National Museum Of Customs And GST Opens Inside 400-Year Old Goa Building

Goa is distinct and probably exceptional for the ones who vacation there. It has been the Indian travellers’ common go-to place when it came to relaxing and unwinding from the regular city life. The place has serene beaches, churches, and now to add to the richness, a museum too. Mind you, the museum isn’t just some regular building. But a 400-year-old building which will now hold precious exhibits and antiques.

Alfandega – A 400-year Old Blue Building In Goa

This ancient building used to be called Alfandega during the Portuguese rule in Goa. It stands on the banks of the Mandovi river as tall as ever. And has now been renamed ‘Dharohar’ – the National Museum of Customs and GST.

The museum was inaugurated by Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday.
