New Paid Parking Zones Announced For UAE And Here’s Everything To Know

New charged parking zones were declared by the UAE civic administration. This was stated by Khor Fakkan Municipality. Khor Fakkan, Sharjah, will get new paid parking areas. It will go into effect on August 15th. The parking bays will be complimentary to use for Sharjah residents 60 years of age and above. Seniors must provide the following documentation to receive this.

List Of Documents To Apply For Senior Citizen Advantage

According to the Municipality, older residents must provide specific documentation in order to use this amenity. These consist of:

1. Emirates ID

2. Vehicle ownership documentation

3. A list of registrations

The documentation can be filed in person at the Khor Fakkan Municipality’s headquarters in the Al Mudifi neighbourhood of Khor Fakkan or online at www.khormun.gov.ae.

What Are The UAE’s Revised Parking Rules?

Parking will be cost-free on holidays as well. Parking in multi-story buildings is not permissible for free; daily fees are required. Parking must be paid for Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm, according to the new resolution.
There is a four-hour time limit on continuous parking for each car in roadside spaces in municipal parking lots. In parking lots for 24 hours, and in structures with multi-story parking for 30 days.

A few elements of the Executive Council Resolution No. (5) of 2016 that deal with the regulations governing public parking in Dubai are amended by the Executive Council Resolution No. (18) of 2022.

Seasonal parking passes prepaid or rechargeable parking cards, credit cards, text messages, RTA apps, and parking metres (payment booths).

Zone A parking rates range from Dh2-Dhs16, Zone B parking rates from Dhs3-Dhs20, and Zone C parking rates from Dh2-Dhs11. Zone categories reach as high as H.
