Everyone secretly searches for it but a few lucky ones ever get it. No, we aren’t talking about the lottery, it is love. While love is the testimony of two souls, marriage is the festival of two people coming together. Now with coronavirus actively telling us to be 6 feet apart, how do we solve this conundrum? What’s In It?

As the world adjusts to this pandemic blues, New York too, is adjusting to the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Andrew Cuomo has implemented an Executive Order in light of the current situation that allows state residents to get their marriage licenses remotely and also allows clerks to perform wedding ceremonies through video conferences. Yes, simply put get hitched over Skype or Zoom, it’s that simple!

The Hill noted that NYC’s Marriage Bureau has remained closed since March 20th, leaving couples without many options. While this pandemic does not seem to end it seems saying your romantic ‘I do’s’ can take a lot of time in your packed dreamy destination. That is why technology can come in handy now for those looking for an adventurous story of ‘how I met your mother’ types.

This service is for couples who were married and applied for registrations before the enforcement of the remote working policy. When it comes to UAE, an online marriage service launched last week. This was done so couples can get married amid the COVID-19 lockdown. And now that New York couples can get married via video conferencing, this is definitely a silver lining.
