NHAI will soon be constructing two new flyovers and an underpass to ease traffic flow on the Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer Route. As per a News18 report, officials are currently working on a detailed project report for this project and a final report will be submitted to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for approval by next month. Besides that, they will also upgrade the Ajmer Road intersection to alleviate congestion.

Reportedly, tenders for the project will roll out in January 2025. With this new project, NHAI hopes to ease the traffic congestion on this route as well as reduce travel time. It has been reported that commuters, during peak hours, experience a wait time of up to 198 minutes on this route. This project will be built on a key route between Ajmer, Jaipur, and Delhi and is expected to significantly reduce traffic jams and improve travel times for commuters.

As per News18, the construction of flyovers at Jaipur’s Bhankrota and Kamala Nehru Nagar intersections is almost complete. For now, vehicles travelling from Delhi to Bhankrota and Ajmer use an already existing flyover. Furthermore, traffic from Ajmer, Bagru, and Bhankrota heading to Sodalala and Purani Chungi will continue along the same route.

According to reports, the new flyover will be constructed parallel to the 200-foot culvert. This will ease traffic flow from Ajmer, Bagru, and Bhankrota heading toward Delhi and Sikar. The authorities are in touch with relevant agencies to ensure that the project is completed within one and a half years.
