Nitin Gadkari Launches 10 National Highway Projects In Uttar Pradesh Valued At ₹84 Billion 

Known as India’s Spiderman, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has launched 10 national highway projects in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In the Uttar Pradesh regions of Pratapgarh and Deoria, he laid the foundation stone for ten national highway (NH) projects with an estimated total cost of more than ₹8000 crore. The ceremony was held in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. 

Nitin Gadkari Launches Projects In Uttar Pradesh

Five NH projects totaling ₹ 2,200 crore were unveiled in Pratapgarh. Notably, the 43-kilometre National Highway 330 stretch from Pratapgarh to Sultanpur will be widened at a cost of Rs. ₹1290 crore. It is anticipated to shorten the distance between Prayagraj and Pratapgarh via Ayodhya.

In addition, work will soon start on the projected 14-kilometre Pratapgarh bypass, which is expected to cost ₹309 crore. At a cost of ₹27 crore, additional road safety measures, such as the erection of street lights and bus shelters, would be carried out on National Highway 31.

Nitin Gadkari announced five NH projects totaling ₹6,215 crore in the Deoria area. While discussing the Deoria project, the minister stated that a contract for the building of a 22-kilometre, 4-lane bypass in Deoria, costing ₹1750 crore, will be given in August 2023.  (As per Live Mint)

Gadkari And Adityanath Were All Praises For Each Other

Nitin Gadkari applauded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his stringent approach to maintaining peace and order at the event. He also expressed his gratitude for the improved situation and the state’s efforts to combat illegal activity. 

Adityanath responded by praising Gadkari’s accomplishments as the transport minister and emphasising the tremendous improvements in road infrastructure development done under his direction. He also mentioned that the developments exceeded the gains made in the previous 70 years of India’s freedom.
