With 30 flights initially—25 domestic, 3 international, and 2 cargo flights—Noida International Airport intends to begin full-scale commercial operations on April 17, 2025. While major cities like Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Dehradun are among the domestic destinations, the first international lines will connect Jewar to Zurich, Singapore, and Dubai, improving global connectivity. The list of their routes is still being finalised.
According to the reports, DGCA has approved the airport’s flight calibrations after a thorough review of runway conditions and wind speed, marking the successful completion of the first phase of operational testing.
Other Dimensions Covered By NIA
In an effort to become a major international aviation hub, NIA has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa. Plans are in the works to add more airline alliances. In addition to easing traffic at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, strategic partnerships are anticipated to improve connectivity and spur economic development in western Uttar Pradesh.
With its cutting-edge facilities and growing airline relationships, Noida International Airport is well-positioned to make a substantial contribution to India’s aviation industry. This contribution will include extending travel options and stimulating regional economic growth.
