Northeast To Get Its First Vande Bharat Express On Guwahati- NJP Route

Indian Railways are introducing Vande Bharat Express trains in different parts of India. And now Northeast is all set to get the first Vande Bharat Express train very soon. The Railways is launching this train on the Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri (NJP) route. It is surely great news for everyone super enthusiastic to travel to the beautiful states of Northeast India and explore the natural magnificence of these destinations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the newest Vande Bharat Express train in the country in the Northeast. Also, with this inauguration, PM Modi will be laying the foundation stones of a few more projects in Northeast India. According to a report by The Sentinel Assam, the express train will be starting its services on 14 May 2023. The operations are about to begin in less than 2 weeks. Northeast Frontier Railway officials stated that the first ride on this train will be taking place between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri.

According to a report by India.com, the Northeast Frontier Railway is already working on all the initial arrangements for the inauguration of this train.

  • The Vande Bharat Express train will be running between Assam’s Guwahati and West Bengal’s New Jalpaiguri.
  • The fastest train in India on this Northeast route comes with 16 coaches.
  • The stops between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri will be announced soon.
  • Running at a maximum speed of 110 km per hour, this train will transport its passengers to their destinations providing great experiences.
  • The Northeast Frontier Railway is operating the train only in West Bengal now. The train is running between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri.

Dibrugarh is all set to get the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. IRCTC and Northeast Frontier Railway will begin the journey on 27 May 2023. The train will take the passengers on a journey to Ayodhya, Shree Mata Vaishodevi, and more from Dibrugarh in Assam.
