Nestled in the heart of a bustling suburban neighbourhood, Brownsline Donut Shop has been serving up delectable delights. Traditional breakfast items, Boston cream doughnuts, and mugs of coffee have been available at this Toronto doughnut store for about 40 years. But now, this doughnut shop has unveiled a new Indian menu.
Brownsline Doughnut Shop Now Serves Indian Delights
Brownsline Doughnut Shop has a long history in the Etobicoke neighbourhood. It first began as a Country Style and later evolved into an independent doughnut house. However, a new owner has now added something fresh with new Indian delectables. If you reside there, you will be pleased to find chicken biriyani, gulab jamun, various curries, and hot roti in addition to traditional lunch and breakfast options.
Taken over by the Sidhu family now, the most popular dishes at the restaurant involve creamy butter chicken, freshly grilled roti, and the hearty portions of their chickpea, tofu, and cauliflower curries. Cooked by the mother of the owner, the recipes let you taste the decades of perfection.
Brownsline also offers the sugar syrup-based treats gulab jamun, the vibrant orange spiral candy jalebi and Indian halwa with raisins as items on the dessert menu. This isn’t your standard doughnut store anymore
The place decked up in bright orange and purple paint, has speckly tile floors and a bakery case filled with freshly baked goodies and pastries. You can still find their regulars.

The Place Has Always Been A Classic Favourite
The freshly baked doughnuts bearing their names are available in more than a dozen flavours, including toasted coconut, maple dip, eclairs, and fritters. A carrot or cranberry lemon muffin is also an excellent choice. The doughnut shop emphasises fresh produce with the kitchen team up baking every day around 2 a.m.
According to an article on Blogto.com, the family claims that new customers are pouring through the doors of Brownsline as the family continues to publicise their Indian options. The majority of Brownsline’s customers have been visiting for decades and spend hours drinking coffee, reading the newspaper, and conversing with friends.
Moreover, any food leftovers are sent to Too Good To Go, an app that tackles food waste by offering it for sale at a reduced price after the store closes.
