Not Punjab But Brampton Had The Best Sarson Ka Saag, According To Ammy Virk!

Punjab is known for its flavourful makki ki roti slathered with desi ghee, paired with sarson ka saag! It tastes even better if the sarson is freshly harvested from the farm, thoroughly cleaned and prepared with love. If you have ever tried authentic sarson ka saag, then you know what we are talking about. Actor and singer Ammy Virk loves to eat this Punjabi dish but not in this Indian state. He revealed his favourite spot for this dish during a fun chat with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani.

Ammy Virk Recalled Brampton’s Sarson Ka Saag

When you think of such traditional Punjabi dishes, you assume to find the best of them in Punjab or at least in other parts of India. Surprisingly, Ammy Virk found his favourite spot in Brampton, Canada.

Ammy acknowledged that Punjab has perfected the art of sarson ka saag. However, he also mentioned, “Mere life ka sabse best saag joh khaya hai voh maine Canada khaya hai, Ontario mein, Brampton. Zindagi ka sabse zayda swaad aur sabse acha saag Brampton mein khaya hai!” Hard as it may be to believe it, we totally take Ammy’s word for it.

He pointed out how more and more people from Punjab have been migrating to Brampton for better opportunities in life. Due to the large population of Punjabis there, the place has also gradually transformed, offering people familiarity and an easier life in Canada. Ammy called the city an exact embodiment of Punjab and stated that it has been a great place to live in recent years.
