Uber Launched Cab Services In Jammu & Kashmir

The cab company introduced its operations on Tuesday by launching UberGo and Uber Intercity. As of now, these two services are available in the valley. This beginning is an important part of the company’s expansion plans in India and also focuses on the goal to boost “its footprint and product offerings to regional markets”.
From locals to visitors, everyone in Srinagar can easily avail of UberGo and Uber Intercity services. Interested people can simply book Intercity rides to different places around Srinagar such as Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Sonmarg. Uber is all in to offer convenient and safe mobility options on a pocket-friendly budget. Introducing cab services in Srinagar is a significant step toward expanding its facilities all around India.
Shiva Shailendran, Head of Supply and Regional Operations, talked about the expansion of Uber and commencing operations in Srinagar. “The launch of the operations in Srinagar marks our presence in the famous tourism hub of Jammu and Kashmir. We are excited to serve and provide services to the riders in one of India’s all-time favourite travel destinations”, he said. He also added how tourists and locals will find a trusted ride in and around Srinagar by just simply tapping on the app. Uber services will also bring earning opportunities for drivers of local communities, according to the Press Release.
Book Intercity Rides For Return Journeys

Using the Uber app, riders can book Intercity trips for return journeys “lasting up to 5 days”. This facility comes with various advantages such as retaining the cab and the driver and also adding stops in the journey. Riders can start booking Uber rides for a maximum of 90 days in advance. It helps drivers to plan their journeys properly. Another advantage of this feature for the drivers is that they can understand their earnings for the next few months in advance.
