Overflowing cold beer and hearty German delicacies feature at the beer festival from September 17 to October 3, 2022. What’s Oktoberfest?

Oktoberfest is the world’s largest Volksfest. Held in Munich every year, the beer festival features a travelling fun fair, amusement rides, foot-tapping music, performers in folk costumes and of course overflowing beer. The mayor of Munich taps open the first beer keg to inaugurate the festival. During the course of Oktoberfest, around 2 million gallons of beer is consumed. Indians Are Super Excited To Attend Germany’s Beer Festival

According to the travel search engine KAYAK, Indians are super excited about Oktoberfest. In fact, data reveals that flight searches to Munich are up by 90 per cent. While hotel searches during the same period of Oktoberfest rose by 171 per cent. This indicates a renewed interest among desi beer lovers to visit Germany for the iconic festival.

Flights & Hotel Deets To Munich

Let’s fill you in on all the details. The average flight fare from India to Munch is priced at ₹68,616 for economy seats. A night’s stay in a Munich hotel during Oktoberfest would cost you ₹18,860 per night for a double room. This is the cost of boarding at a 3 or 4-star hotel. So, all in all, it may cost you around ₹125,196 per person to attend the iconic beer festival for 4 days and 3 nights. Here’s a tip, the cheapest day to fly to Munich is on October 2, as this is the second last day of the festival.
