Sanjeev Kapoor is a chef and TV personality par excellence. His show Khana Khazana is a cooking show that is almost immortalised in the minds of 90s kids and their parents. To date, the Chef takes to Instagram to share the choicest of recipes, garnished with his signature smile,  making cooking more accessible to Gen Z and millennials. On International Chef’s Day, Sanjeev Kapoor shared a throwback picture and even shared a heartfelt moment from Cherapunjee.

After Saransh Goila, Sanjeev Kapoor also took to Instagram to celebrate International Chef’s Day in his own style. Taking to his Instagram account, @sanjeevkapoor, the celebrity chef that he’d like to share a special memory from his journey that is very close to his heart. Sanjeev Kapoor said that during the SAARC meetings, he had the privilege to visit Hotel Pinewood Ashok in Shillong, Meghalaya.

Sanjeev Kapoor shares that this incident took place during the SAARC meetings. The chef had the special opportunity to cook lunch in Cherrapunji in Meghalaya, one of the rainiest places in the world. To ensure the day’s events went smoothly, the chefs cooked everything the night before and packed the food well. At 4 am in the morning, the team of chefs set off to Cherrapunji. This was the first time Sanjeeb Kapoor was visiting the Northeast. So, he was beyond excited.

He goes on to add in his caption that the photo he shared on Instagram still fills his heart. It encapsulates his fondest memories. He even shared the pictures with the talented Executive Chef of Raja Ratna and his two chef buddies, Milind Sovani and Moloy Das. Wearing a chef’s coat and chef’s hat, Sanjeev Kapoor poses confidently with his team of chefs. Honourable Minister Margaret Alva, who was the former governor of Rajasthan graced her presence at the occasion.

The former Khana Khazana host said that this moment highlights the beginning of his journey as a renowned chef in India. The reason he is blessed and recognised across the world is because of the love and support everyone has showered on him. On International Chef’s Day, Sanjeev Kapoor expressed gratitude to everyone and wished all the chefs on this joyous occasion.
