With the surge in the number of passengers and demand for flights, airports often get too crowded, and that sometimes leads to inconveniences. Recently, many new airports are getting ready to make their debut in different Indian cities and Noida International Airport is one of them. Here’s a glimpse of the ongoing construction of the airport’s runway.

It is expected that operations at this brand-new airport are going to begin in October of the upcoming year. It looks like the Noida International Airport is ready to begin its operations in about a year. There are plans to run a lineup of a maximum of 65 flights regularly, according to a report by the Economic Times. This is a significant beginning while keeping in mind the major uptick of domestic flights in different routes of India.

According to the schedule of the new airport, 62 flights is going to be operating daily domestically. Along with a huge number of daily flights, the airport is all set to operate one flight only for cargo services. Since the beginning, the airport has been set to enter the global aviation industry. The Economic Times report states about the airport’s plans to run 2 flights for international countries.

Here Are Some Important Details About The Airport:

SP Goyal (@spgoyal) shared some glimpses of the humongous construction undergoing to construct the much-awaited airport. In the caption, he added that the airport ‘has been assigned the International Air Transport Association (IATA) code DXN’.

Passengers can take flights to connect with cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune. Apart from the bustling cities, there are also plans to operate flights connecting small distances. The cities that are coming under this list are Dehradun, Pithoragarh, and more.

On behalf of the airport, the press statement read, ‘We are in conversation with all domestic and international airlines, and the interest in Noida International Airport looks strong. We are committed to developing an efficient airport that is warm and welcoming for passengers and also combining Indian hospitality with Swiss efficiency. Our approach to airport operations focuses on providing shorter turnaround times and low operating costs to airlines and cargo/logistics providers alike, making it convenient for stakeholders.’

Indian Tech & Infra (@IndianTechGuide) shared information about the flights operating at the airport.

Arun Vir Singh, YEIDA’s CEO, shared that Air India and IndiGo are interested in running services from the airport and also making it their base.
