If you’ve been following the news you know of late, many highways and expressways have been inaugurated. So, we’ve brought you a complete list of National Expressways of India along with other details like current status, length, and date of completion. You might have wondered about the difference between an expressway and a highway.
Well, an expressway typically has six to eight lanes and is wider than a highway, which usually only has four lanes. An expressway is also access-controlled, so only high-speed vehicles are allowed on it. This enables faster travel as the vehicles aren’t impeded by slow-moving vehicles.
