Happy Philippine’s Independence Day!
We are so glad Filipinos make for a major percentage of UAE’s expat population. After all, they are known for being graceful, pleasant, kind and ever-helpful. As Philippines celebrates its 121st Independence Day today, Dubai has taken efforts to make the day memorable for our fellow Filipinos. From sparkling laser shows to other month-long festivities, UAE has big plans this Philippine’s Independence Day.

1. Laser Show At DSF
Dubai Festival city will dazzle in the dark, as it hosts a record breaking laser and light show- ‘Imagine’, to commemorate Philippine’s Independence Day. The show is scheduled for 7:00 pm and will run for three days in a row. Also, entry is FREE for all. Here’s the schedule:

2. Dubai Parks & Resorts
Dubai Parks & Resorts is doing it all to make the Philippine’s Independence Day memorable. Pay AED 39 and you can access three theme parks, in one day- Motiongate, Bollywood Parks and Legoland. The offer is valid from 12-15 June. In addition a grand spectacle will also be held at the Rajmahal Theater on 15 June.
3. Marvel At The Burj Khalifa
For the first time, UAE residents will witness the Burj Khalifa light up in the colours of the Philippine flag on Wednesday night, marking their Independence Day. The world’s tallest tower will display the Philippine flag at 9:40 pm tonight.
This aside, the country also has month-long celebrations including:
1. Community events at Zabeel Hall- 14 June (9 am t 8 pm)
2. Grand show at Dubai Parks & Resorts- 15 June
3. Philippine Independence Day reception- 16 June, 7:00 pm
