The event is based on research projects by state colleges and universities, the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Science and Technology. It will introduce innovative products generated by biotechnology and production techniques that could change the food value chain.

The 2023 National Food Fair will continue to showcase the country’s wealth-generating product, coconuts, at the fair. The showcase will happen through the Coconut-based MSME Cluster and the Philippine Coconut Industry Pavilion, as reported by the Manila Times.

A video series of “Cooking with Coconut” will be made available on BDTP’s social media accounts before the event. The Philippines is known as being among the world’s top coconut producers.

Apart from these, the fair will also include projects and initiatives focused on sustaining inclusive development and growth in rural agro-industries. These initiatives will help the local farmers and the local market of the Philippines get a much-needed boost.
