PM Narendra Modi is on a tri-state visit to Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar from March 1 to March 2. On this two-day visit, he will be launching and laying the foundation stones of several development projects in these states. He started his journey from Jharkhand today and inaugurated projects worth a whopping ₹35,700 crore there! These projects ranged from railways and the agriculture sector to other infrastructural developments. Read on to know a little more about these projects.

PM Launches Development Projects In Various Sectors Worth ₹35,700 Cr

PM Narendra Modi visited Sindri, Jharkhand today and launched and laid foundation stones for various projects there. These projects are worth a massive ₹35,700 crore and aim towards socio-economic development in the state. To begin with, Prime Minister Narendra inaugurated Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL). This ₹8,900 crore fertiliser facility in Sindri will contribute greatly towards the agricultural advancement of India. It is expected to produce 12.7 LMT (lakh metric tonnes) of locally manufactured urea annually.

 

This will help the farmers in the country as well as make India ‘atma nirbhar’ for all its fertilisation needs. Besides that, PM Modi also talked about improving irrigation facilities in the region. Furthermore, he also dedicated several power projects to the prosperity of Jharkhand. These projects include Unit 1 (660 MW) of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) in Chatra.

PM Lays Plans For Railway Projects In Jharkhand

Besides power and agriculture, PM Modi also laid the foundation stones for various railway projects here. These projects will improve connectivity and improve the overall socio-economic state of the region. PM Modi ceremonially initiated the construction of several railway projects in Jharkhand.

Some of these include the 3rd and 4th Line between Sone Nagar and Andal, the Tori-Shivpur first and second railway lines, and the Biratoli-Shivpur third railway line. Besides that, he inaugurated the Mohanpur-Hansdiha new rail line and also the Dhanbad-Chandrapura rail line.

After his visit to Jharkhand, the Prime Minister will visit West Bengal. He is likely to inaugurate several projects worth more than ₹7,200 crore in Arambagh, Hooghly, West Bengal.
