Curly Tales & Kamiya Jani Win “Best Travel Creator Award” At National Creators Award Ceremony

On March 8, Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the first-ever National Creators Award at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. It is an effort to recognise and reward excellence and impact across all domains including storytelling, travel, technology, education, gaming, social change advocacy and environmental sustainability. Curly Tales founder and Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani won a National Creators Award in the “Best Travel Creator” category.

In her acceptance speech, Kamiya states, “Mujhe ghoomne ka bahut shauk hai aur mujhe lagta hai ki office se jab hum thhake aate hai ya week bhar poora kaam karte hai, weekends mein hume enjoy karna chahiye. Jo itni beautiful, natural beauty jo hindustan mein hai woh enjoy karni chahiye aur mujhe lagta hai Bharat sabse zyaada khoobsurat desh hai. Aur yahin objective hai ki global map par Bharat number one par ho

(I have a passion for travelling. And I feel when we return from office or work hard during the week, we must enjoy on the weekends. We must enjoy Bharat’s natural beauty. I feel Bharat is the world’s most beautiful nation. It’s my objective to put Bharat on the first place in the global map).”

She adds with a smile, “Aur filhal confused hoon ki Lakshadweep jaau ya Dwarka” (I’m confused whether I should visit Lakshadweep or Dwarka).” Kamiya referred to PM Modi’s recent trips to Lakshadweep and Dwarka, where he promoted the watersports in the two tourist destinations.

PM Modi Urges Indian Travellers To Explore Regions Near Spiritual Destinations

To this, PM Modi laughed and told her that she would have to scuba dive deep into the waters to see Dwarka, believed to be the underwater city of Lord Krishna. He called his visit to Dwarka, “adbhut” (wonderful). When visiting spiritual destinations in India, he encouraged travellers to explore nearby destinations as well. “Purchase local handicrafts. This will boost the travel economy,” said PM Modi.
