Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Goa on December 19. He announced his plans to revive heritage tourism destinations in Goa like Aguada Fort jail museum at a cost of ₹28 crores. This museum takes visitors through Goa’s freedom fight struggle and highlights the contributions of freedom fighters towards Goa’s liberation. The Prime Minister also inaugurated Super Speciality Block at Goa Medical College to boost the state’s medical infrastructure facilities. This hospital provides state of the art facilities and specialised services like kidney transplants, dialysis, bypass surgery and more.

Kashi Vishwanath Corridor To Offer Easy Access To River Ganga

The brand new Kashi Corridor will be decorated with Bael, Amla, Rudraksh, Ashoka and Parijat trees to promote the message of environmental protection. The temple authorities have made special arrangements to plant these trees across the mandir chowk and temple premises. Devotees will have access to passenger facility centres like lockers, shops selling puja items ticket counters, that have been set up. The Kashi Vishwanath Corridor has been built to an easily accessible path to devotees who earlier had to walk down congested streets and surroundings with poor upkeep to reach the river Ganga for a dip in the holy river.

28 Lakh Laddoos Distributed To 8 Lakh Households In Varanasi

PM Modi had laid the foundation stone for this project on March 8, 2019. After 2 years, this project has reached its completion and it’s ready to welcome devotees. As part of the inauguration, the Varanasi district administration shall distribute 28 to 30 lakh laddoos to over 8 lakh households in the city. There will also be a booklet on the spiritual significance of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is one of the 12 Shiva Temples or 12 ‘Jyotirlingas’  in India.
