The Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, today reached Lepcha in Himachal Pradesh. He plans on spending Diwali with the Jawans and security personnel. Pictures of his visit have swarmed the Internet. Every year, the PM spends his Diwali at a security installation. He kept up with this personal tradition of his this year as well. In Lepcha, he interacted with the Jawans and appreciated their work and their sacrifices. Read on to see him interact with the Jawans.

In order to appreciate and laud the sacrifices that the Jawans make day after day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is spending his Diwali with the Jawans stationed in the Lepcha region of Himachal Pradesh. In a series of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter), Narendra Modi stated that he was filled with deep emotion and pride.

According to an article recently published by NDTV, every year, the PM visits some security installations at the time of Diwali. In a speech he made at Lepcha, he stated that this tradition of his was longstanding and that he did it even before he was a prime minister or a chief minister. He also noted the difficulties that the Jawans must have to endure.

Diwali is arguably the biggest festival in India. People, regardless of faith, come together to celebrate this festival. At a time when everybody wants to be with their family, the Jawans spend it at the border ensuring that the rest of the country can safely celebrate happiness and create memories with their loved ones.

PM Modi also recently made a trip to Hyderabad in Telangana where he conducted a rally Incidentally, an incident from the rally went viral on social media. A lady, perhaps in desperation to speak to the PM, started climbing the light tower. However, when the PM spotted what she was doing, he urged her to climb down as it was quite perilous and she could’ve hurt herself.

Some time ago, the Prime Minister also visited one of the most iconic temples in Chhattisgarh, the Chandragiri Jain Mandir. The temple is located in the Dongagarh region of Chhattisgarh. He even shared pictures of himself prostrating in front of the spiritual leader of Jainism, Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj. He is a high monk of the Digambar Sect of Jainism.
In the caption, the PM wrote that he felt truly blessed to receive graces by the Maharaj. The monk has renounced all worldly possessions as this is one of the most important parts of their belief system.
