2 Popular Delhi Restaurants Close Doors Till March 31! Will More Follow?

The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, recently made an announcement of banning nightclubs, gyms and spas; and any gathering of more than 50 people. Two popular Delhi restaurants have taken a step in that direction and have closed doors till March 31.

Auro Kitchen & Bar and Summerhouse Cafe are two very popular restaurants cum bars of the city. Located in South Delhi, they are considered to be among the most happening spots, be it a weekend or a weekday. They have hosted  gigs by some of the biggest Indian and international names as well.

Sending the message through their social media channels, they made a statement saying that both the restaurants will be shut till March 31. Paying emphasis on the ‘social distancing’ that is required right now, in order to stop the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), they have decided to take this step. Will This Help?

The Delhi government has already banned gatherings of more than 50 people, which include political, religious, and any other kind of events. Apart from that, there are a lot of people who are still not practising social distancing. Hence, the restaurants are stepping up.

Many restaurants in Delhi have already taken numerous measures to make sure that customers are not at risk. They are disinfecting the areas regularly, sanitiser bottles have put and the staff is exercising precaution too. But two restaurants have taken a step to close the doors, which will affect the business extensively. The question, however, remains, will more follow?
