The first tremor of 6.9 magnitude rocked the island of Kyushu in Southern Japan. According to a report by The Times of India, the depth of this earthquake was about 30 km. The next one hit 20 km to the northeast of Miyazaki. Its depth was reported at around 25 km, according to the United States Geological Survey. Several social media users posted clips of the natural disasters and tremors shaking everything all around.
The glimpses are terrifying and people can be seen running to find a safe shelter and save themselves from the impacts of the strong earthquakes. Looks like a few viral videos were recorded inside a shopping complex where outfits displayed on cloth hangers can be seen swinging due to the tremors. Also, visitors at the establishment somehow hid themselves for safety precautions.

Japan is known for being a country prone to earthquakes. We have read about multiple devastating quakes and tsunamis there in the past. The recent tremors raised concerns and tension about the next consequences. The risk skyrocketed so much that tsunamis were likely to hit coastal areas in Kyushu and Shikoku. Following the twin earthquakes, a tsunami warning has been issued already.
The Japan Meteorological Agency had to issue an advisory given the latest unfortunate incidents. The agency warned people to avoid entering the sea or visiting close to the coast as tsunamis are expected to strike.
