A masterpiece of contemporary engineering, the Shivaji Nagar Metro station was created to meet the demands of all travellers. Everyone can reach it thanks to the multi-modal integration of entry and exit points with the Shivaji Nagar Railway Station, PMPML bus stop, and MSRTC bus depot.

It will run between Agriculture College and Swargate for a distance of roughly six kilometres and is situated beneath the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus terminal near Shimla Office Chowk.

Little details reflecting the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s reign and legacy have been included in the station, whose interior design and decor are influenced by the regal Peshwas. The station is a genuinely unique experience that displays the ideal fusion of contemporary engineering and classic design.

Marvellous Underground Engineering In The City

It is a marvel of modern underground engineering and the first of its kind in the city. The station is now open to commuters after a lengthy wait of more than three and a half years. Cellular towers have been built at the station as one of its distinctive features to improve network access for customers and MMRCL employees. They have been considered in the design of the train’s lifts, ticket booths and designated areas.

The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL) has gone above and beyond to make the station a visual spectacle while placing a high priority on utility and safety. The station has a very Puneri feel because of the Peshwai art, which features the important forts of Maharashtra.

It is a very appealing area thanks to the employment of vivid colours on the escalators, signboards, warning signals, and other characteristics.
