Qatar Airways recently announced that it will now be resuming its direct flights to Birmingham. Yes, the national carrier will take off from its hub, Hamad International (DOH) and land at Birmingham (BHX). This is brilliant, as the reintroduction of the flights is set to begin on July 6, which is a Thursday! It’s worth mentioning that the direct service to this airport in the UK begins after direct flights were suspended amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s worth mentioning that for this route the airline will deploy its Boeing 787-8 according to a report by Simple Flying. This aircraft has 22 passenger seats in business class and 232 seats in the economy section. This means there is a total of 254 seats in every segment. Moreover, the scheduled time for departure from the Hamad International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays is 8:05 am (local time) and for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, is 2:20 am.
