Qatar Issues Free Visas On Arrival To Passengers From Over 95 Countries

In August 2017, Qatar began visa-free access for citizens from other countries. Citizens from 95 countries were eligible for a visa-free entry into the state. However, this visa-free access was stopped owing to the virus outbreak for two years. But now as international travel is getting back on track, Qatar is issuing free visas on arrival to passengers from over 95 countries.

Qatar Visa On Arrival

Citizens of the eligible countries can easily avail of a visa waiver upon arrival by presenting a valid passport with 6 months of validity and confirmed onward or return tickets. They also do not have to make any prior visa arrangements. Extending the visa is also free of cost for extra 30 days. The citizens who have taken doses of vaccines approved by the Qatar Ministry of Public Health are the only ones eligible.

Valid For 30 Days Or 90 Days

The free visas will allow the citizens from 52 countries like Denmark, Croatia, Netherlands, etc. to spend up to 90 days in Qatar. While citizens from other 40 countries like Australia, Mexico, Brazil, etc. spend up to 30 days in the state.

Requirements For Visa On Arrival

  • Valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity
  • Confirmed onward or return ticket
