Have you seen the recent advertisement for Puma? Known as one of the biggest sportswear manufacturers in the world, Puma’s latest advertisement features Milind Soman. The advertisement shows Milind jogging in different places wearing Puma’s shoes and sportswear. It was released quite some time ago. This ad has sparked a debate on social media platforms after a railway officer criticised it.
IRAS Officer Reacted To Puma Ad Featuring Milind Soman
Taking to X, Ananth Rupanagudi (@Ananth_IRAS) shared his opinion and commented on this viral Puma ad.
I have a problem with this ad, @PUMA. The advertisement begins with an aerial shot showing a lush green landscape. It then proceeds to show Milind preparing for his early morning run. First, he can be seen running on a concrete road. This is followed by him running on an empty land surrounded by trees. The ad concludes with Milind running on a railway track. The IRAS officer slammed the shot of the actor-model running on a railway track.
He reacted to it stating that he has a problem with this ad. The officer added that railway tracks are not meant for jogging and it is treated as trespassing. Mr. Ananth Rupanagudi pointed out that Milind should have verified all these things before shooting this advertisement. Lastly, he requested the brand, Puma, to add a disclaimer to this ad. With his X post, he wanted to focus on how it is not right to show someone jogging or running on railway tracks.

According to the reactions and comments of X users, most of them did not find any fault with the advertisement or the actor-model running on railway tracks. This ad was definitely shot at Borivali National Park. Several familiar buildings are visible. The railway line is of course the tiny NG line in the park.
