The UAE and India share a very cordial bond. Tonnes of people from India travel to the UAE for varied reasons. And similar is the case with people travelling from UAE to India. However, when it comes to travelling UAE-ites living in other parts of the nation like Ras Al Khaimah have to travel to Dubai to catch a direct flight for India. But guess what, that’s not the case anymore! Why So? Well, Ras Al Khaimah airport has now welcomed the first scheduled flight on a new route that connects the Emirates with India. Yep, a new non-stop flight from India to RAK is launched. Read on to know more.

The New Airline Will Allow RAK Residents To Fly To India Directly 

The first passenger flight from New Delhi touched down in the early hours of Friday morning. Passengers who boarded the flight were given a solid VIP treatment in the terminal to commemorate the first flight. On this collaboration and future, Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, chairman of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport said,

“We are thrilled and excited to welcome SpiceJet to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. This new service will open new routes for us to India, which is our largest market. With the facility to connect to more than 28 destinations in India via Delhi, it will stimulate consumer demand, provide connectivity and ease to our residents, and promote international tourism.”

Spice Jet Will Operate Flights To RAK Twice A Week

For the flights, the budget Indian airline SpiceJet will operate flight SG 160 depart from Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi at 10.30 pm on Thursdays and Sundays, landing at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport at 12.50 am on Friday and Monday. And if you are planning to travel to the UAE soon, then you must know that you have to present a negative test for Covid-19 before boarding, according to federal travel rules.
