Ramadan 2025 Dates Announced?
According to the Emirates Astronomical Association, the UAE Astronomical Ibrahim Al Jarwan, who is the Chairman of the Association announced that the the next Ramadan is set to begin on March 1, 2025. Yes, according to the calculations, the crescent moon, which marks the start of Ramadan might be seen on Friday, February 28, 2025. As a result, Saturday, which is March 1 will be the first day of the holy month.
It’s Based On The Astronomical Calculation
It should, however, be noted that these are based on precise astronomical observations and calculations. While they serve as an important guide for Muslims to plan for the holy month in advance, the month will officially begin once the moon has been sighted by the moon sighting committee. It’s worth mentioning that Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and it is a time when Muslims fast from dawn till sunset. They refrain from food, drink, and other physical needs, as it’s a month of deep spiritual reflection. A month of increased devotion and worship, the moon sighting committee plays an important role in announcing the beginning of the holy month.
